Smoking in Cars 11/22/2011
 
I don't think it is possible to ban smoking in motor vehicles just as its impossible with mobile phones. I see  lots and lots of people every day using them while driving, so as far as i am concerned the penalty is far to low to be a deterant, it would be the same with smoking.

Just had a new vaillant replacement boiler. Some of the prices here in West Wales were just horrendous (5),  eventually we found a great Gas Safe fitter, Philip Thomas from Llanelli. Professional and efficient and most important - a fair price.

Nothing much going to happen in Wales that I know about, just the ladie's footy match.With all the natural outdoor facilities such as the rivers and hills, we would have had a little more action. I don't know how other countries  such as Scotland and Northen Ireland got on with events, let's hope they did better than Wales.

Swansea will stay up in the premiership next season because they are in the black with a super-side capable of being as good as Stoke were last season. If they spend some of the millions wisely, even better. That's my view anyway.

Shocking news: one household in 4 in Wales is in fuel poverty. How many vulnerable people are going to survive this very severe weather? Probably a lot more bad weather to come in the next few months. Hope something will be done quickly because people haven't got the money. THESE PRICE RISES ARE RIDICULOUS

There has been a world recession. France is in finacial trouble with all the riots going on there, that's because of the banking fiasco all over the world, That's including the USA. But all that the Tories can do is blame the poor Labour party for everything. First words out of ther mouths on tv or anywhere is, it's because of the last lot. I say it's all over the World, Banks have become too big and are a law unto themselve.

I think the Labour party has shot itself in the foot by not selecting David Miliband as the top man. (or sould i say the unions) He did not come out very well on the tv pannel report he seemed over confedent and maybe looked somewhat arrogant to some people. The Tories must have been chuffed to see the inexperienced brother win the vote. Did he do the right thing in going to the back benches and wil he return in the future.

Just had a great week visiting the museum in Hanly, Stoke. Stayed at the Quality Hotel, close to all the old potteries and shopping centre. The museum was just brilliant for enthusiasts or anyone interested in the past history of this very wide region. It has Olly the Owl on display, the exibit was found on the Antiques Roadshow. There were many thousands of other pieces as well paintings by famous artists including T. S. Lowry.
